This
Hotel will now rent out entire floors so
that you virtually own your set as well the
surrounding rooms for holding, dressing rooms,
make – up
and production.
The Hotel will also allow
daytime filming in the Lobby and Bar. The management
has also indicated to me that other special
circumstances will be accommodated.
Located close to Paramount,
Warner Bros., Universal, Ren-Mar, Sunset Gower
and Raleigh Hollywood this hotel has it all. Independently
owned it does not come with the usual hassles
associated with shooting a hotel. This owner
wants filming – that’s why Plan
A has signed on to represent this spectacular
location.
Included at this site ---- a beautifully
appointed lobby (complete with bar and
coffee bar) an empty restaurant; a working
restaurant that is available for shooting,
a terrific pool and patio area, king sized
suites, regular sizes rooms and several ballrooms
as well as an industrial kitchen.
The attached pictures cannot
begin to cover all of the possibilities that
this hotel offers – come

This Japanese

This is the ultimate
industrial kitchen; not only does it have so
much to offer by itself but it also has “miles” of
attached hallways. There are enough hallways
to do a 20-minute walk and talk and still not
come to the end. And if all of that isn’t
enough, there is also a walk-in freezer.
In addition to all of the above, this site
is attached to an empty restaurant so there
is no need for an enormous buyout. It will
even be welcoming if you are filming one of
those horrible Friday night into Saturday morning
situations that makes episodic television so
much fun to work on.

This residence was built in
1888 by well-known and prolific wood carver
John J. Ford. His carvings embellish both
the interior and the exterior of the home.
Design elements – carved Corinthian
columns, lion heads, brackets and fancy scrollwork – display
a combination of Italianate, Eastlake and
Queen Anne styles.
This particular home has not
been refurbished. It has some walls that are
exposed down to the beams; this makes it ideal

This upscale

lobby that conveys the right feel and

crowd downstairs and then expands with balcony
seating. The seating is done in sections
so it is easy to dress as an Orthodox Synagogue

quiet elegance and gives an awe-inspiring

This Church was completed in
1930. The design as built, created by Carlton
M. Winslow, Sr, was inspired by California's
early mission architecture.
On the street side you enter through wrought
iron gates to a landscaped courtyard. The doorway
leads to a vestibule that has a wrought iron
gate leading into a breath taking sanctuary.
From the wood beamed ceiling
to the extravagantly appointed altar this
location looks more like it has already been "dressed" rather
than one waiting to be completed.
There is a second floor
balcony overlooking the sanctuary that provides
the ability to capture a very dramatic shot – the "money
shot." The balcony can hold camera, equipment
and crew.
The downstairs area provides a completely
different look. The basement, with its own
street door access, looks like a cafeteria/meeting
room complete with stage. It also has an industrial
kitchen.

This fabulous Spa & Health
Club is like everyone else here in Los Angeles
it just had a multi-million dollar face-lift
and when you walk inside you can see every
dollar that was spent.
As you pull in off the street you enter an enormous parking lot that will be
your Base Camp unless you have multiple exteriors.
The entrance foyer leads to a separate men’s spa and a separate women’s
spa – both equally elegant and well appointed. Before you enter either
spa there is a lobby with an elevator that leads to the second floor that allows
for camera placement looking down on the men’s side of the facility.
The men’s location is
enormous. A hallway off of the lobby leads
to a maze of polished wood lockers that lead
into a grooming area complete with multiple
sinks and surrounded by mirrors. Off to one
side is a filmable bathroom. In this same area
there is a marble steam room and a dry wood
sauna.
The next room is the “money” shot; it is a two story high marble
walled room that has the pools. Up a half a dozen steps from the main floor is
a Jacuzzi surrounded by a red cold pool and a blue hot pool. The effect from
the entrance is amazing. But, there is even a better POV from the second floor
that overlooks this opulent area.
This room also includes glass walled sweat rooms and showers.
On the other side is the women’s spa that you enter from a hallway off
the lobby; at the end of the hallway is an oversized dressing room. Included
in this area is a circular mirrored grooming bar as well as a sitting area with
a coffee set up. Off this space are two rooms with polished wood lockers
and a filmable bathroom.
Off of this space is a short hallway that has doors leading into a marble steam
room and a wood dry sauna.
The pool area is marble; included in this oversized
space is a hot blue pool on one side, a cold
red pool on the other and a Jacuzzi in between.
The wall behind the three pools is a waterfall.
Leading off one side of this pool area is a
very large communal shower.
If all of this isn’t enough downstairs is a work out room and off of

This is the ideal
look if you need to cheat an airport and don’t
want the hassle of LAX; or can also be shot
for what it is – a private airport terminal.
There is a counter area, two lounges and a
runway big enough to stage a very large jet.
Both the interior counter area and the exterior
runway have the ability to be shot from staging
areas that give you an aerial POV.
There is a limousine entrance and area that
can be used as a base camp or set to look like
an airport parking lot.
A large landscaped patio can easily be dressed as an outdoor café. It
provides a great POV of the runway that adds that “real” airport
restaurant feel.
The management is film friendly.

Plan A Locations'
File 200 includes a wide variety of options
that may be new to you. Most location managers
know about the Courtroom, one of the best courtroom
stages available in the Zone.
But less well-known is the
utility room that is part of File 200. This
large room presents a wide variety of looks,
as the images in the slideshow (click the
button to the left) detail.
Some of the production dressings
have included a political rally hall, complete
with stage, parquet flooring and seating arrangements;
a prison waiting room, with the austerity you'd
imagine in such a setting; a school cafeteria;
and a lounge. The room also comes with an industrial
kitchen that is ready for filming, and a lounge,
which you can see dressed in the slideshow.
And, of course, this location
features the fabulous Courtroom, perfect for
any legal setting you may require.
The room can be dressed into
just about anything you can imagine; give us

THERE IS A FILM FRIENDLY,
EASY TO SHOOT OFFICE BUILDING IN DOWNTOWN AND
IT’S NOW AVAILABLE THROUGH PLAN A LOCATIONS.
This
location can "cheat" a downtown office
building in any city in the USA; the exterior
even has two different fire escapes.
There is a convenience store located in the lobby
next to the elevators. The elevators and the
lobby can be shot during the week. There are
also some empty storefronts that are available,
as well as a yoga studio.
The first floor has a marble appointed lobby
and marble stairs that lead to the second floor.
This floor has a more modern look and film friendly
tenants who are willing to rent out their spaces.
The higher floors have a more traditional feel;
the twelfth floor has the look of older Senate & House Office Buildings in Washington, DC.
There are empty offices available and most tenants
have indicated to me, and the management, that
they are open to filming.
The fire escapes are accessible from every floor
via a hallway window, which is large enough to
easily accommodate any size actor. The fire escapes
have recently passed inspection so there isn’t a safety issue in play.
The roof provides spectacular views of downtown
and beyond depending on weather conditions.
The
building is adjacent to one of Harry's lots and
there are no residential building on the street.
