This
Hotel will now rent out entire floors so
that you virtually own your set as well the
surrounding rooms for holding, dressing rooms,
make – up
and production.
The Hotel will also allow
daytime filming in the Lobby and Bar. The management
has also indicated to me that other special
circumstances will be accommodated.
Located close to Paramount,
Warner Bros., Universal, Ren-Mar, Sunset Gower
and Raleigh Hollywood this hotel has it all. Independently
owned it does not come with the usual hassles
associated with shooting a hotel. This owner
wants filming – that’s why Plan
A has signed on to represent this spectacular
location.
Included at this site ---- a beautifully
appointed lobby (complete with bar and
coffee bar) an empty restaurant; a working
restaurant that is available for shooting,
a terrific pool and patio area, king sized
suites, regular sizes rooms and several ballrooms
as well as an industrial kitchen.
The attached pictures cannot
begin to cover all of the possibilities that
this hotel offers – come

This is the ultimate
industrial kitchen; not only does it have so
much to offer by itself but it also has “miles” of
attached hallways. There are enough hallways
to do a 20-minute walk and talk and still not
come to the end. And if all of that isn’t
enough, there is also a walk-in freezer.
In addition to all of the above, this site
is attached to an empty restaurant so there
is no need for an enormous buyout. It will
even be welcoming if you are filming one of
those horrible Friday night into Saturday morning
situations that makes episodic television so
much fun to work on.

This residence was built in
1888 by well-known and prolific wood carver
John J. Ford. His carvings embellish both
the interior and the exterior of the home.
Design elements – carved Corinthian
columns, lion heads, brackets and fancy scrollwork – display
a combination of Italianate, Eastlake and
Queen Anne styles.
This particular home has not
been refurbished. It has some walls that are
exposed down to the beams; this makes it ideal

This upscale
Synagogue presents a variety of looks. The

lobby that conveys the right feel and

main sanctuary holds a moderate size
crowd downstairs and then expands with balcony
seating. The seating is done in sections
so it is easy to dress as an Orthodox Synagogue

as well as a smaller venue. The front area
(the Rabbis’ platform) is done with
quiet elegance and gives an awe-inspiring

This Church was completed in
1930. The design as built, created by Carlton
M. Winslow, Sr, was inspired by California's
early mission architecture.
On the street side you enter through wrought
iron gates to a landscaped courtyard. The doorway
leads to a vestibule that has a wrought iron
gate leading into a breath taking sanctuary.
From the wood beamed ceiling
to the extravagantly appointed altar this
location looks more like it has already been "dressed" rather
than one waiting to be completed.
There is a second floor
balcony overlooking the sanctuary that provides
the ability to capture a very dramatic shot – the "money
shot." The balcony can hold camera, equipment
and crew.
The downstairs area provides a completely
different look. The basement, with its own
street door access, looks like a cafeteria/meeting
room complete with stage. It also has an industrial
kitchen.

is an easy-to-reach and -shoot location.

THERE IS A FILM FRIENDLY,
EASY TO SHOOT OFFICE BUILDING IN DOWNTOWN AND
IT’S NOW AVAILABLE THROUGH PLAN A LOCATIONS.
This
location can "cheat" a downtown office
building in any city in the USA; the exterior
even has two different fire escapes.
There is a convenience store located in the lobby
next to the elevators. The elevators and the
lobby can be shot during the week. There are
also some empty storefronts that are available,
as well as a yoga studio.
The first floor has a marble appointed lobby
and marble stairs that lead to the second floor.
This floor has a more modern look and film friendly
tenants who are willing to rent out their spaces.
The higher floors have a more traditional feel;
the twelfth floor has the look of older Senate & House Office Buildings in Washington, DC.
There are empty offices available and most tenants
have indicated to me, and the management, that
they are open to filming.
The fire escapes are accessible from every floor
via a hallway window, which is large enough to
easily accommodate any size actor. The fire escapes
have recently passed inspection so there isn’t a safety issue in play.
The roof provides spectacular views of downtown
and beyond depending on weather conditions.

building is adjacent to one of Harry's lots and
